Pre-defining Access for Pending Circle Invitations

Modified on Fri, 30 Oct at 9:00 PM

When you invite someone to join a Supported User's Circle, you can set up some of their access permissions before they accept the invitation.

This can help make sure the right access is ready when they join.

How to Manage a Pending Invitation

  1. Log in to Multi Me using your Buddy account.

  2. Go to My Stuff → My Circle.

  3. Open the relevant Supported User's Circle under Circles I Manage.

  4. Click Pending Invites at the top of the Circle page.

  5. Find the person you have invited. You can use the search box if needed.

What Can You Set Up?

From the pending invitation, you can:

  • Change their Circle Category – Friends, Family, Support or Other.

  • Edit their relationship description – for example, Dad, Teacher or Support Worker.

  • Set Buddy status – where permitted.

  • Add them to Groups within the Circle.

  • Set up access to the Supported User's Goals, Media, Diary and Wiki, where available.

You can also delete a pending invitation if it is no longer needed.

Important Things to Know

  • You cannot give someone edit access while their invitation is pending. You must wait until they have joined the Circle.

  • You cannot change a person's Buddy status if it has already been assigned by the Account Holder.

  • A Supported User cannot be made a Buddy.

  • Access should only be given where appropriate and with the Supported User's involvement wherever possible.

Once the person accepts their invitation, you can review and update their access permissions as needed.
