Inviting People to View or Edit a Wiki

As a Wiki Admin or Buddy, you can invite other people to access a Supported User's Wiki.

There are three ways to invite people, depending on whether they already use Multi Me.

Opening the Wiki Access Page

1. Open the Supported User's Wiki Main Menu.

2. Click More (three dots).

3. Select Access.

4. The Manage User Access page will open.

At the top of this page, you will see three invitation options.

Option 1: Invite Existing Multi Me Users

Use Invite Users to invite registered Multi Me users from the Wiki Owner's Circle.

1. Click Invite Users.

2. Select one or more people from the Wiki Owner's Circle.

3. Click Add and follow the confirmation prompts.

4. Find the invited people in the Wiki Members table.

5. Use the Access given pencil icon to choose which Sections or Pages they can view or edit.

Option 2: Invite Someone by Email

Use Invite by Email to give someone access without requiring them to have a Multi Me account.

1. Click Invite by Email.

2. Enter the recipient's email address.

3. Set a password to protect their access.

4. Choose an expiry date for their access.

5. Send the invitation.

The recipient can use their email invitation and password to access the shared Wiki information until the access expires.

Option 3: Create an Access Link

Use Create access link to generate a secure link that you can share with an authorised person.

1. Click Create access link.

2. Set a password to protect the link.

3. Choose an expiry date.

4. Generate the link.

5. Share the link and password securely with the intended recipient.

Access through the link is available until its expiry date.

Managing Viewing and Editing Permissions

For registered Multi Me users, you can control which parts of the Wiki they can access.

1. Find the person in the Wiki Members table.

2. Click the pencil icon under Access given.

3. Choose which Wiki Sections or Pages they can View or Edit.

4. Save your changes.

You can also manage Wiki permissions for existing Circle members through the Supported User's My Circle → Manage Access page.

Important Things to Remember

• The three invitation options are available from the Wiki Main Menu's Manage User Access page.

• Email invitations and access links can be protected with a password and expiry date.

• Inviting a registered user does not automatically give them access to every Section or Page.

• Only share personal information with people who are authorised to see it.

• Involve the Supported User in decisions about sharing wherever possible.
