How do I keep my Multi Me account secure?

Modified on Tue, 27 Oct at 3:08 PM

Multi Me has security features to help protect your personal information. There are also some simple things you can do to keep your account safe.

1. Keep your password private

  • Choose a password that other people cannot easily guess.

  • Don't share your password with other people.

  • If you think someone else knows your password, change it as soon as possible.

You can change your password in My Account Settings → My Password.

2. Use two-step sign-in

Multi Me uses two-step sign-in to provide extra protection for your account.

When required, you'll receive a security code by email after entering your password.

This helps prevent someone else from accessing your account, even if they know your password.

Never share your sign-in security code with anyone.

3. Check where you're signed in

You can review the devices and sessions connected to your account.

  1. Open My Account Settings.

  2. Select Security.

  3. Review where you're signed in.

If you notice a device or session you don't recognise, you can use Sign out everywhere else to end other sessions.

4. Be careful when sharing information

Multi Me lets you share information with people in your Circle and with people who have been given access permissions.

Before sharing something personal:

  • Check who will be able to see it.

  • Only share information you're comfortable sharing.

  • Ask your Buddy for help if you're unsure.

5. Sign out when using a shared computer

If you're using Multi Me on a shared or public computer, remember to sign out when you've finished.

Avoid saving your password on devices that other people use.

6. Ask for help if something doesn't seem right

If you think someone has accessed your account without permission:

  • Change your password.

  • Review your signed-in sessions.

  • Tell your Buddy or Portal Administrator.

  • Contact Multi Me Support if you need further help.
