Giving a Circle Member Access to a Diary

Modified on Mon, 2 Nov at 3:30 PM

You can give someone in a Supported User's Circle permission to view or edit their Diary, including the main Blog and individual Diary Logs.

You can manage this from My Circle → Manage Access or directly from the Diary.

Giving access from the Diary

  1. Open the Supported User's Diary.

  2. Click the three dots (Show More Options) and select Manage Access.

  3. Click Invite Users.

  4. Find and select the Circle member you want to give access to.

  5. Click Select to add them to the Diary.

  6. Find their name in the Diary Members list and click the pencil icon under Edit Access.

  7. Use the eye (View) and pencil (Edit) icons to set their permissions for the main Blog and individual Diary Logs.

Important to know

  • View access allows someone to read Diary content.

  • Edit access allows someone to contribute to the parts of the Diary they have permission to edit.

  • Diary Admins and Buddies have full access to the Diary.

  • Staff may also have access through their organisation's Role-Based Access (RBA) settings. These permissions are managed by a Portal Admin and cannot be removed here.

You can change a Circle member's Diary permissions at any time using Manage Access.
