Creating a Goal from an Existing Goal or Template

Modified on Fri, 30 Oct at 9:52 AM

You can create a new Goal by copying an existing Goal or using a template.

This saves time because you don't have to create everything from scratch. You can use an existing Goal and its Steps as a starting point.

Getting started

  1. Open My Goals from your My Stuff Dashboard.

  2. Click + New Goal at the top of your Goals List Page, or click the + button beside an existing Category.

  3. Choose Copy/from template.

Choosing a Goal to copy

  1. A window called Select Goal to copy data will appear.

  2. Browse the available Goals and templates, or use the Search box to find one.

  3. Click the Goal or template you want to copy. A green tick will show your selection.

  4. Click Select to continue.

You can use the copied Goal and its Steps as a starting point for your new Goal.

Tip: Templates can be useful when several people are working towards similar things, such as developing independence skills or learning new skills.

Please note: Your organisation may use different names for Goals and Steps, such as Objectives and Targets.
